CCM is a multi-award-winning independent garage group with three sites in Cranleigh, Gatwick, and Ewhurst – serving private motorists, businesses, and commercial fleet operators across Surrey and Sussex for more than 30 years.
We offer main-dealer-level servicing, MOTs, diagnostics, and repairs, with the personal attention, honest communication, and transparent pricing that main dealers rarely deliver. Over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and more than 10,000 jobs completed in the last year alone reflect the trust our customers place in us, and the standards we hold ourselves to every day.
Our history
CCM was founded in 1993 in Ewhurst, Surrey, where our head office remains today. What began as a single site has grown, over three decades, into one of the most respected independent garage groups in the region, with teams across Cranleigh, Gatwick, and Ewhurst working to the same values and the same standards that the business was built on.
That longevity isn’t accidental; it reflects a consistent commitment to doing things properly – investing in training, in equipment, and in the relationships we build with our customers.
Our team
CCM employs more than 25 technicians, MOT testers, and support staff across our three sites. They work on all major vehicle makes and models, from everyday servicing and MOTs to complex diagnostics, specialist gearbox work, EV and hybrid repairs, and commercial vehicle maintenance.
What sets our team apart isn’t just technical ability, though that’s considerable. It’s the culture behind the work: a shared commitment to accountability, clear communication, and doing right by the customer, every time. Continuous training is a core part of how we operate, and our technicians are equipped to work on the latest vehicle technology as well as the full range of older makes and models.
Our values
Everything at CCM is built on a clear set of values: accountability, honesty, clear communication, and teamwork. These aren’t aspirational statements; they’re embedded in the way we work day to day, from the way we communicate a fault to a customer through to the way our teams collaborate across sites.
We believe in taking ownership. If something isn’t right, we address it.
We believe in transparency – customers should always understand what work is being carried out, why it’s needed, and what it will cost before anything is agreed.
And we believe in continuous improvement – measuring our performance, acting on feedback, and never assuming that good enough is good enough.
Our mission
Our goal is straightforward: to be the most professional, trusted, and recommended garage for everyone we serve. We want every customer to leave with complete confidence that their vehicle has been looked after properly, and that if they ever have a concern, it will be dealt with honestly and promptly.
That mission shapes everything, from the way we invest in our people and equipment, to the way we handle a complaint, to the small details of how a customer is spoken to when they call.
How we work
Servicing and repairs at CCM follow a structured process built around finding the right answer, not the quickest one. Every job – from a routine service to a complex fault – goes through the same methodology:
Investigate – Diagnose – Validate – Repair – Check
This matters particularly when something is wrong with a vehicle. Real diagnosis is a methodical process that combines information gathering, visual inspection, and advanced diagnostic investigation. It takes longer than plugging in a scanner and replacing the first thing that comes up, but it means we fix the actual problem rather than just the symptom.
Servicing follows the same principle. Every service at CCM is bespoke, built around the specific vehicle, its age, mileage, and condition, and the manufacturer’s recommendations. There are no fixed packages, and no work is carried out without the customer’s knowledge and approval.
Awards & recognition
The independent garage industry has some demanding award programmes, and CCM has built an exceptional record across several of them, including back-to-back wins at the Automechanika Awards for Best Multi-Site Garage in 2023 and 2024, consecutive IGA BIG Award wins in 2023 and 2024, and the Top Garage Award in 2025. The full list of our awards and what they recognise is on our dedicated awards page.
Private customers, businesses, and fleets
CCM works with private individuals, local businesses, and commercial fleet operators – from a sole trader with a single van to organisations running large vehicle fleets. Our fleet maintenance offer is built around minimising downtime and keeping vehicles compliant and roadworthy, with flexible scheduling and proactive communication that keeps operators informed rather than reactive. We’re also members of the 1Link Fleet Service Network, providing an additional layer of assurance for commercial fleet customers.
Accreditation and your peace of mind
CCM is a proud member of The Motor Ombudsman accreditation scheme, operating to the CTSI-approved Service and Repair Code of Practice. This means our customers have access to a free, impartial dispute resolution service if a concern isn’t resolved to their satisfaction through our own complaints process. We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve any issue within two working weeks. If you have a concern, please get in touch. If you’re not satisfied with the outcome, The Motor Ombudsman can be reached at www.themotorombudsman.org or on 0345 241 3008.
